Both of you should teach us how to draw so we make stuff inbetween those two drawing styles
I use Mypaint and Photoshop CS5 Extended.
I just use references and doodle until I get something I like.
I never use the smudge tool (it's cursed for me) instead I blend colours by sampling.
When I paint ponies, I paint them always in black and white, then I add detail and colour a while later so I can adjust it.
I never use default brushes in photoshop since they never look right. I use my own custom textured ones.
I use rulers, and on screen measurements since it's easier.
With ponies, I always do the head and then the body since the head and eyes are the first things you look at but also it's more fun.
I sometimes rotate the canvas if I'm finding it hard to do and I never click on the tool buttons I use macros 'n stuff.
Pretty much my whole digital art style summed up.
Drawing on paper is different though.
