hm, personally I think the whole brony thing is a one-in-a-million ordeal and probably won't happen with other cartoons of its type so easily. unless they really get a good team behind them, and people actually care to try it for old-times-sake.

i'm quite sure the main reason people kept watching the show, in the beginning, is because it was just far better than the older generations of the show. because they kept going with it, it got bigger and bigger.
