we've yet to see any oceans or large rivers yet that i can recall

but we've seen boat-like objects used as blimps/hot air baloons

apocalypse mixed human and pony genes, allowing them to speak. Magic is their ability to see a larger light spectrum than us and their ability to manipulate atoms of them and others. Pegasus bones are hollow. They would use the material from the old world to create new machines. Most of the water on the planet was evaporated due to a new kind of weapon.

I want to say that we've seen a picture of the planet or a globe somewhere (in one of the story cutscenes from Elements of Harmony/Hearth's Warming Eve? Cheerilee's classroom? Twilight's study?) and I'm pretty sure it had oceans, but I can't be certain

It's also completely likely that all of the places we've seen have been located far enough inland that we can't see water

But I would like a sea fairing episode for one, we already have a hint at Fluttershy becoming a dragon and a sea faring episode would just keep spicing things up. Who wouldn't like to see ponies getting sea sick
