An MLP board is a terrible idea in a number of ways.

I prefer to keep this thread.

AVGN's youtube channel background. inb4AVGN"isabrony".
well its either that or hes just congratulating his brony fans for that pic

Well, it is the biggest topic on the forums and there are many different things to discuss at once, And when a lot of people are discussing one thing, it gets the topic cluttered and unorganized, and with our own board, we could have a variety of smaller topics about smaller subjects, so then we would have a place to post individual topics under a common board, therefore uncluttering and organizing the MLP community on blockland, and giving people a way to find what they want to discuss about the show, instead of havinb a giant topic where we can discuss only one thing at a time.
And its not like anything negative would happen because of it.

A whole new section dedicated to this one thing would certainly rally unwanted attention.
It's not like this idea hasn't been thought of before.

I personally brought it up as a typical idea-discussion many months ago. I want to keep both sides happy, in order to do that you would have to make this section invisible to the rest of the forum. This wouldn't work out, as it would turn the fanbase centered here into some sort of secret-club (new people wouldn't be able to participate!). There are other options, for example you could have some sort of Opt-Out option so that every other user could remove it, but that's still not really fair to them.

In the end, it wouldn't really be beneficial because there are not that many of us. Badspot would have to do some extra coding work for this new section in order to keep people from raging (which his time is better spent on his game). Plus, Badspot would have to allow someone to moderate it, as I'm certain the current moderators would rather not do so. (which I can only think of a very few who could do it properly)

If it could be done, I'd go with it. It would have be to done in very specific way to work out for the whole forum and not just us, though.
You might as well create your own forum, which two users tried and most did not care to join.

tl;dr You are a ravenous, roosterblocking thundercunt.
this is meant as a playful response!

A self dedicated board would be awful.

I remember when me, Miga and a other people tried getting you guys to move to your own forum that you have complete control and freedom over and still be associated with Blockland, but you kept rejecting the idea in fear.

Hell, I still want to carry on this idea, I'll make a board for you guys if you want to, stuff like fluffy ponies could have their own sections and such, it would be much nicer than a bloated forum thread.

The idea of a board dedicated to ponies would be cool, but this is the BLOCKLAND forums, not the Blockland-and-ponies forums.

uh, you've horribly misunderstood my post.
I'm talking about an independent forum, not a new section on this forum.

There's already a ton of independent forums about MLP:FiM, why would you make ANOTHER one?

we've tried this once or twice and it doesn't work.

it's like communism - sounds good on paper, doesn't work well when applied.

but you kept rejecting the idea in fear.

i don't think it had anything to do with fear (i mean really, where and what is the fear?)
mostly stubbornness

People don't want to go through the trouble of joining another forum when they could simply post here, as this topic serves us perfectly well.

If you want proof that it won't work, ask for a link to the forum attempts, or even try making one yourself. We don't reject the idea in fear, or "mostly stubbornness" as Blastdown says, we reject it because we have already tried it and know it won't work.

i'm not always right  :cookieMonster:
though i was assuming the attempts had not been made until after that topic, i don't really remember that hoopla.
