Sorry about starting that, guys. I didn't mean for it to break out into any sort of argument.

I asked because I've been writing out a backstory for my OCs long before I've drawn them.

My own OC team

I had a few pencil sketches somewhere but they sucked and I lost them, and since I have a shaky hand problem I can't draw that great. I did check the various "pony creator" flash things out there and none of them had things that matched my ideas for what these fellows looked like.

As for OC's quite a few people have them. You'll find that the people who complain about them are fewer in number but more vocal than the people with no problem with OC's.

Something else I should probably tell you, I'm actually mildly autistic. It's not a huge issue in most places but it screws up my social skills, and I can't recognize sarcasm very well.

that's typical with text-based communication. every person expresses sarcasm in a different way with subjects, sometimes you have to know a person to know they are being sarcastic (there are also methods of directly implying sarcasm too, like with italics and such)
