I never thought this would get big enough to go past 2 seasons. Look now, my expectations have been passed.
What do we do when the show ends? Pack away our pony stuff and pretend it never happened?
Or would the fandom try to keep it going with their own episodes?

you either stop right then and there, or continue to be involved with the community.
fans will keep the flame burning as long as they can, continuing to create art, music, stories, and even animated episodes if they choose to

the remnants of the fandom are unlikely to disappear for a long time

Hm....
I like the second option better.

Me too

Maybe we can get the "official" vectors and stuff once the show ends. (well, maybe we can get them legally)

If Hasbro ended the show and decided to reboot it *cough*gen 5*cough*, I'd like to see a new cast of characters, but all in the same universe. Maybe in a different continent with some connections to Equestria.
Hell, make it in the future, for example the CMC branch has largely expanded and maybe slip a Wonderbolts scene with Rainbow Dash slipped in.

Personally, I'd just like to see longer episodes, such that there's enough time to tell some actual story and things like this Discord episode here don't seem too contrived at the end.

I say whatever happens happens.

Finally got a small opportunity to watch another episode alone, where my family can't mock me.

Just watched Dragonshy, and it occurs to me that Fluttershy would be a hypnosis therapist's dream patient.

Not if I can't afford to buy a high enough channel number to get the hub.
Regardless, I also deal with an anxiety disorder, triggered by anything with suspense where I don't have control over the action. That includes prettymuch every movie and every tv show ever made. It's really, really obvious when I'm watching mlp because I have noticable anxiety attacks.
Video games don't trigger it because I have some control over the action, though I will never ever again play Amnesia: The Dark Descent (I got to the first monster and ragequit).

Invader Zim has a fandom and that didn't even get big until afterward.

I do hope this fandom dies out a bunch though I hate seeing it irl

Didn't invader Zim get popular because of hot topic?

And I do agree with Zook about the IRL stuff, it does get annoying, maybe the extreme bronies will settle down like I did.

When I first got into this fandom I was obsessed with the show now Im just sorta meh.

Maybe that's what it needs, just for the fandom to settle down a little. Not die down, really, just chill out a bit.
But eh, nobody knows what the future holds.
