What was your theory as to why the season was only 1/2 as long?

the well known theory is syndication. something to do with 65 episodes being required for syndication

a hasbro representative said some time ago about half-seasons being cheaper and that little kids don't "need" more new episodes and are generally content with re-runs


i don't have a theory. neither of these seem like a "special" reason to me.
