Some people see this as being the end of Twilight's character development/the end of the show. Obviously, it's not as we have a fourth season. Basically, overreacting.
when they say "the end of the show", it's metaphoric not literal
the basic way of putting it is people are afraid of change. the change could be good, but it could be bad. the change could hurt Twilight's character or add to it. the information that has been given out up till this point hasn't really aided the positive case, but the episode itself might do so. it's all unknown factors.
personally, from what has been given out i think it's an unnecessary change. the title is worthless, the wings are pointless. she has power, the elements of harmony can increase it. why add this bit? it doesn't make sense yet, if it ever will.
