That's what makes it so much worse though. The work these guys did, like fighting is magic, is wasted because they waited two years before basically slapping them in the face and saying stop. They knew it had to come eventually but they lost a two year project that could have been spent working on something else because they couldn't be assed to tell them to stop earlier. I know most everyone got to see FiW but it still sucks that it's down.

TL:DR I'm slightly annoyed by how long it took for them to react to this stuff and prevent everyone from wasting their time making it only for it to be removed.

Hasbro has taken down the Friendship is Witchcraft Series!

There needs to be imidiate action. This turned the panic switch on!

with Fighting is Magic, people suggest that because of the recent EVO event gave the game too much attention forcing Hasbro's hand
with Witchcraft, they have mirrors and a website. i posted it last page

everyone is upset about it. people were really excited about Fighting is Magic (and it still has some possibilities of being completed, along with incomplete bases being released), people really enjoyed the Witchcraft series (again, mirror website).


there have been very detailed and informative posts about this elsewhere, explaining the situation perfectly. it's not entirely Hasbro's fault.

I know it it isn't entirely their fault but it almost seems rude to wait so long just to crush the project even if it is their right to do so.

I believe they're going to start doing periodic releases when the first 4 characters are done

And are Mane 6 allowed to use original characters, like Faust was saying earlier?

still, one user suggested that they do this and create the Friendship is Magic characters alongside it and release it as a patch anonymously
they could do it theoretically and not get into trouble

though i assume that would be technically illegal. their situation, their choices. we'll see what actually happens. i wouldn't do it personally lol

I don't understand why it's a big deal. They aren't charging you to play the game. It's nonprofit as far as I'm aware. Who gives a stuff if  a few pixels look like a character on a TV show? I could understand if Hasbro was gonna stuff out a pony fighting game, but since that will never happen I don't see the reasoning behind the C&D.
