Just wondering.
it depends on what is being drawn, you might not be familiar with the object or coloration and such. with that last piece, i looked at celestia to remember her mane/tail color pattern (blue-green-purple-red for mane) because i'm not very experienced drawing her, and i wanted to remember the pattern of her crown/shoes, but that's about it
with the last few sketches i've posted, no references were used
On a more sersouys note: Blastdown you have become very very good at drawing over the course of this year.
looking through the twelve drawings i did for season three, improvements are easily seen but what i lack is just as obvious
looking at the first and the last, i am pleased with the progress but still not where i want to be
i think my backgrounds have vastly improved, while characters and objects still need lots of work
i'm not sure if i plan to do this again for season four. it's twice as long, and it's a bit painful doing these within 15 hours. it has certainly sped me up though.
