4.Do a stuffton of free requests.
5. Be really active. I post at least one drawing a day. If you can't get finished drawings up that often, post WIP pics.

School does not permit me to do such activities.

I go to school too.

Cut it out of your video game time or something. Drawing is a thing that you have to invest a lot of time into, and if you don't invest that time, no one will ever care about your work, and your work will never get better.

TIME FOR ACCEPTANCE.

Besides cutting it out of your other activities shouldn't be an issue if you truly enjoy drawing. Also, the more you draw, the faster you'll get, so it's not a long term thing.

I wish I could draw ponies, but I can only draw male hoomans.

or be able to draw at least one outstanding piece and be forever adored by thousands of people you dont know
of course, that outstanding piece requires lots of practice time :D

Turned out pretty nice yes?

Finished all of this one person's commissions. Awaiting the other 50% of the payment.

personal criticisms
your front legs need work, i'm noticing a recurring theme with them looking like that and it's rather inaccurate/doesnt look that good. the hind legs dont look bad. and she's fat :D
i dont know much on custom wings or wings in general. face lacks detail (not the eye), mostly just a nostril since you dont like putting a simple mouth curve on them

ways to improve? i'd suggest copying some show ponies in similar poses (having their front legs up in the air, for body sizes/proportions, etc.)
there is also this compliation of random guides and whatnot which has been useful to me in the past

some examples of front arms, 1, 2, 3

I actually haven't played games in about a week now. I'm a junior in high school and homework is a bitch. I've only had time to draw late at night. Usually stay up until 12:00 doing a single peice.

It would be nice to know this before I coloured it in D:

Thank you anyway, I shall use it for the next requests.

Weekends? Holidays? There's gotta be some freetime you can draw in.

i'd say it wouldn't take much time to quickly redo the legs, but i don't know your process
a complete overhaul would certainly be a headache though

I would have to redo the entire layer if I wanted to redo the legs.

OH WELL THE CLIENT IS FINE WITH IT AND I HAVE MY MONEY

IT'S OKAY, I'LL BOTHER NEXT TIME.

i was actually going to add that if the commissioner was fine with it, worry about it with future requests.

and damn, you're doing paid-requests?
i would if i felt my art was worth making people pay for it

Actually after specifically stating I work for free, several people insisted on paying me.

Most of them paid to be moved to the top of my really long request queue, lemme copy paste it here.

Some of them make two or three requests.

Well sure, but I'm not going to be drawing every waking minute.

0 notes on tumblr and nothing on dA

quite successful...
hm

Why not? For a week or two I mean. Just to get a small fanbase.
