my parents keep bringing up MLP at the strangest times and then they get upset when they notice that i'm feeling uneasy about it

i have a feeling i should've kept my fascination of cartoon ponies on the internet

What do these strange times include?

Don't worry Flubbsy, you're not the only one who's parents bring up things you told them about st strange times either.

I remember when I told them about anime, UGHN, those days where embarrassing...

Btw they always bug me about girls and getting a girlfriend... Sheesh it's annoying.

What do these strange times include?
for example, this morning my parents were talking about some guy dressed like an anime character they'd seen on TV while I was having breakfast

my mom said he reminded her of "one of those my little pony horses" because the eyes were similar or something i don't even know
i was kind of weirded out and i guess they could see it on my face so they started going "stand up for yourself, don't make such a big deal out of it" when really they're making a big deal out of it by bringing it up simply because of my presence

If I tried standing up to my parents for something like that I get back talked or lectured for talking back.

Someday, you're just going to have to ask them if it's troubling to them at all. I once told my parents about me becoming a brony and how there's a fandom and they seem to understand and just let it slide.

Although, whenever I go with my dad to the toy shop to buy some paints/models for his Warhammer 40,000 army, he likes to taunt me by asking if I was looking at MLP toys.

You should just embarrass em instead and see how they like it.

they have nothing against it and that's exactly the problem
rather than letting it be just a thing that i like, they do this

for example, that completely out of place comparison. they would never have mentioned it if I weren't there

Sweetie Belle looks best/it fits her the best.

This is pretty much why i don't treat it like a loveuality.

Is it bad that I thought their hairstyle was suppose to match the PPG?

I never noticed that.

The artist draws hilariously big noses, but this is pretty adorable.

Sorry if I'm overreacting, but I still don't understand why Aphtonites refuses to post links to these images if some of us hate seeing them.

some of us should just stop being hypocrites
