Season 3 was rushed for the movie, and apparently it was good too.

They did mention that the finale was basically part 1 of a 3-parter. The 2-part season 4 opening was at the time regarded as a continuation, but that might have changed with EqG.

that is how Meghan McCarthy views the three episodes. it's not technically a three-part episode, and it likely won't actually feel like one, but she sees it as such. as the head writer this might be normal for her.
equestria girls likely won't affect that either. the only thing i'm seeing there is that the premiere is not going to be directly after the coronation


i'm still very excited to see what they do with the premiere regardless of naysaying

We all love land ponies, but we prefer pegases... (as far I have seen most of your Characters are pegases...so mine ._.)

the character i made for myself is a unicorn (which she's really just used for practice purposes), but my various internet chums have pegasi characters
honestly i hate drawing pegasi because of their wings, a pain to draw and it gets in the way of the cutiemark


i have no preference on the races, i just imagined that as a unicorn one could learn to levitate themselves thus rendering wings useless (which is totally an ability of my character)

My characters are one 3/4 pegasus 1/4 draconequui (on the theory that since Discord's species is named there must have been more at some point, some still around), one pegasus, two unicorns, three earth ponies, and a changeling.
Also some ancient demon thing but he's irrelevant for the most part.
