genes. i'm 20 and even if i dont shave for a month my facial hair doesnt grow that much, though i could technically have a goatee if i wanted. wouldn't be the most impressive one ever but it'd be there
personally, i'd rather have no facial hair growth at all. shaving every week is a nuisance but i cant stand having it

yea I've been able to grow a nice beard and moustache since I was about 16 my sideburns grow uneven though :(
and if I shave I have to do it at least every other day or I get awful stubble
cause my facial hair grows like freaking weeds
