I would draw a pony but i suck :c
Practice. For drawing ponies, the best tips I can give are:
- Pay attention to detail, close attention. For example, ever notice that th bottom of the hooves has a slight contour at the edges? You wouldn't believe how wrong it looks when you make the corners angular instead of curved on such a small detail, but it does.
- There are very few (if any) straight lines and abrupt angles to make, so just hold your drawing utensil lightly and make the curves as gentle as possible.
- Simply draw the characters in default poses that you can find on line, using other pictures as reference. After a while of doing that, you'll have a good idea of their overall shape and will be able to draw them in more complex poses, without reference.
There's also no harm in coming up with your own art style for them, either. Take Lizzy for example. Personally, I like to keep them as true to they're vectorized awesomeness as possible, but that's up to you.
