Banned From BL Forums = Key Deactivation?

Well, I might have a ban coming up my leg soon, so I want to ask something.
I setup my auth key with the BL Forum account.
But what if I get banned from these forums? Would my key be deactivated?
Also why would you have to setup your auth key?I can't figure out the point ...

By the way, Badspot can simply track your IP to your ID and deactivate it if he wanted to. Just because you register your key to your forum account doesn't make it much easier to find you ingame.

I can't help but notice that this whole topic sounds like "I want to spam/troll the forums, but I dont want to lose my key" and "then I wont register my key with my forum account next time"
