Why are people so bad at video games?

I don't understand it. I'm trying to teach someone how to play vidya and I'm like "You can move while shooting" "You have to hold W to move forward" "Don't waste ammo on people you can't kill (NPCs, Friendlies)


Is it really a skill?

Im alright. I am great in zombie survival, i can do good team types of games like CTF but suck at 1v1 style games, im ok at strategy and im amazing at 3rd person shooters
