I remember the Crysis steam hacking incident, loads of people got affected by that.

nMy steam could be compromised at any moment. WoW gold farmers hacked my email and battle.net account a while ago, and I use the same password for everything.

With Steamgaurd it's impossible for your account to get phished unless they get your email password somehow. Gabe Newell posted his username and password on the Steam forums and he still hasn't been successfully hacked.

they have his e-mail address and all his passwords are the same
