Author Topic: A couple things you didn't already know were wrong with the U.S.  (Read 2938 times)

People who say there are things wrong with america are the problems. We definitely need a bunch more complainers don't we? The US is one of the only countries in the world were you make or break yourself. You decide if your life is good or bad, no one else is "destroying america" but them selves. Honestly.

This is a pretty ignorant view to take, friend. Is reflecting on the state of things whining? There's a difference between seriously trying to take ten big steps back and look at how the world is spinning and complaining about things that aren't going your way.

Your first sentence is ridiculous; I can't believe you actually think that people who say that everything isn't OK are the reasons that things are wrong.

Some of it is stupid, others wont make sense unless youve studied stuff. but alot of it makes alot of sense.

I really wish people would stop complaining and be more grateful. The United States is one of the most free and influential countries in the world, and all you people do is bitch about unpassed bills and conspiracy theories.

That site looks like a bunch on conspiracy stuff. "Britney spears' new song implements mind control" Bullstuff.

Being able to be kept abreast with everything going on in the world within a few moments of it happening decreases the need for details, for things that would "bog a person down", perhaps is one way of putting it.
Let's take, for example, June 25, 2009. Turn on the news that day, and the channels are plastered with photos of Michael Jackson. People are saying he's been hospitalized. I don't know about you, but I was hungry for details that day.
Bigger houses. Two cars. Daycares for the kids. Prozac.
The way I see it, buying bigger houses and two cars and daycare services are helping the economy.
They also provide jobs for either a working man or a working woman, building houses, cars, and working in daycares. This presents an opportunity for a family to have two incomes and buy more of this. It's a vicious cycle.

Yeah, and then Michael Jackson was consistently in the news for the rest of the summer. He died, and then we milked it for every entertainment second we could muster.

I believe someone published a novel about it. Two weeks after his death.
And a documentary.
And a bump.
