sudden raid of earwigs in my house what is going on holy potatoes

There is a massive raid of earwigs in my house. any earwig experts able to enlighten me on what the forget is going on?
I've been trapping the ones that are on my desk by putting them under a mountain dew can. so far, i have 2. but around my house I've been noticing a stuff ton of earwigs. it's never been like this before. anyone know where or why or what they are doing.

my house is clean there is no food everywhere they should not be here :(

the town my parents live in. like every 4 years (seasons) exactly, the town gets invaded by army worms. they have like silk strings that cover the trees. and you cant drive around without hearing billions of em be squished.
they let loose these japanese beetles (big orange lady bugs with 2 spots) to somehow stop them. but it didnt work.
so now when the worms arent around, you have large lady bugs that bite you.

yeah i hate bugs.

It's about this time of year when my area gets invaded by caterpillars. Nasty little miscreants, they bunch up into giant furry clumps of caterpillar flesh at the bases of trees, and just get everwhere.

They are all over my desk gathering any scrap of food they can find, they run in and out of my keyboard, climb on my arms, and yet they never stop generating.

I have a moth infestation, they're like, everywhere.
At least we have a bunch of small spiders to push them back :D

There must be some breeding ground for flies and mosquitoes under our deck because whenever I go down there to take out the trash, all around me I just hear BZZZZZZZZZZZ.

and I feel your pain, skill, I loving hate earwigs. but then again I hate any insect that has no purpose other than to be parasitic and/or annoying (see also: mosquitoes).
