Author Topic: THE GAMEBOY ADVANCE IS OPEN, NOW WHAT?  (Read 2762 times)

Alright so I'm trying to loving open up my Gameboy Advance console so I can add a bunch of stuff that will turn it into nothing less but a technological masterpiece. However there is a problem, while I am equipped with nearly every tool and hobbyist would require, I NEED A loving TRI-WINGED SCREWDRIVER. loving Nintendo and their "safety screws" these pieces of stuff are my worst nightmare.

So I ask you, oh highly dependable group of forum-goers, how do I open up my Gameboy Advance without a tri-winged screwdriver in a simple way that won't completely destroy the console?

SO I OPENED THAT stuff UP FINALLY!

So now what do I do?

My current ideas:

Idea One: Add new speakers.

Idea Two: Add new screen.

Idea Three: Add light.

Idea Four: Not be able to put the stuff back together.

Option 5: buy a tri-wing screwdriver.

Throw it at the ground and stomp on it. It'll will open.

Uh, use the tip of a blade?

Option 5: but a tri-wing screwdriver.

Did I mention that there is no way in hell I would ever do the sensible thing? Because I meant to.

Throw it at the ground and stomp on it. It'll will open.

Totally

Uh, use the tip of a blade?

Tried it.

Why are you trying to open it?

There's a special tool that uses a magnet to chase screws around and remove them. But I doubt you have one?

please just buy a tri-wing screwdriver to not break it

For people wondering about the modifications in question:

Recently the right side of my headset broke off, so I had to cut the wire free. The result was a small, high quality speaker. I plan to rewire this speaker onto the Gameboy Advance.

I could also possibly give a better screen, power capacity, add a light. forget yeah.

entrepreneur  MY GAMEBOY.

If you have a dremel you can dissolve the screw into dust.

you get one of those very simple keychain keys that look like curved metal sticks

i would know, my dad used one to open my Wii console
