Your price is already high as-is. Get AMD.
Double post.Skele, are you sure on the RAM? I wanna get a lot to last me a while. :uAlso, how do I overclock my stuff? No idea how.Whut.Where?And is the performance lower?
I have 6gbs right now, and I haven't even used all that. The most I'd upgrade to is 12, and I can get 24 as well. I don't see myself needing 24, or even 16, for the types of applications I'll be running before this thing needs to be replaced. You can always add more later, and it might be cheaper to do so then anyways. Also, i7s are apparently amazing for overclocking. I have the original i7 920, and people have apparently overclocked that thing to 4ghz per core without liquid cooling.
Alright. How the hell do I overclock?I'm definitely gonna get an i7.4ghz each loving core? You gotta show me this.
I've never done it myself. I've heard it involves a lot of trial and error, as well as delicacy. Not everyone could safely get theirs to 4ghz either. Not every chip is made the exact same after all.
My friend recommended the i5 2500k if you want something cheaper. He's really into computer hardware and said he'd take it over an AMD of equivalent price.
Jesus, with this thing you could multitask every valve game simultaneously!
Perfect.And a mobo?
/jelly to death
It's the same socket type of the current mobo you've picked out.
Hey, while you're at it, make me a desktop tower (no mouse, keyboard, or monitor - already have) for $329-$500. I don't know compatibility between parts and stuff, so I wouldn't know what to get.
