Does this zoo involve having a gas chamber by any chance?

it's a drama series about a man down on his luck applying for a job at the zoo. but the zoo is closing down soon because of the low income. the animals are to be set free instead of sending them to another zoo, and because they are domesticated animals they cannot fend for themselves in the wild. so the man decides to try and advertise zoo, but doesn't make enough money. the townsfolk walk by the bars of the closed zoo, and remember the sights they've seen. a crowd appears, and so does the man. but sadly, the animals were sent to africa and die there beforehand. the man finds more jobs, but keeps on getting fired. he dies 3 years later due to a fatal accident.
