Reaction images are stupid in general when overused, whether it be Homestuck, My Little Pony, or meme ones. However, we shouldn't get mad about a couple of reaction images, especially when they original/relevant/funny.

There isn't much of a fight for MLP anymore.  Most of the opposition for both sides are either not holding the same feelings anymore or they aren't active as much.

it's just the creator showing off the things he could do with this comic compared to the other ones he's made

1) MSPA stories exist in the format of "mock games", specifically text-based adventure games. You advance through the pages of the story by clicking links which sound like commands you would type in a text prompt to get a character to do something. Generally, the character will respond to that command on the following page.

2) MSPA stories are largely "reader-driven", in the sense that most of the text commands were supplied by readers through a suggestion box. I would select a command from the list, and then illustrate the result of the command.

Then he's writing something stupid likely.  Writing anything literary using that method is just asking for people to make fun of it or look down upon it for being so terribly designed and thought out.

Imagine how the Harry Potter series would have turned out if JK Rowling just showed off the things she could do with the series' fame before she even wrote the first book, and compared it to any other work she wrote that got near nothing of the attention that Harry Potter did.
