I don't know about you but I haven't seen any minecraft jokes and macros outside of the thread at all recently.
Actually, people post Minecraft jokes everywhere. It's an incredibly popular game and you can go onto hundreds of different popular websites and find people that like Minecraft and occasionally make creeper jokes and such. It's not just here, and it's not because of the topic either.
Same with the avatars. If that thread didn't exist, people would still know about it. Like I said, it is incredibly popular.

You can simply block them, and if you like seeing avatars, try to ignore it. If you don't want to block it, and you just want to stir up stuff, then you should really GTFO. Not only am I annoyed by the minecraft stuff too, but all the minecraft players aren't bound together by one small similar interest.
