Author Topic: Alright "bronies", listen up. (Day 2)  (Read 199845 times)

I've watched the first 4 episodes about 5 times each, Trying to brown townize it for funny. None was found.

This was done about 3-4 weeks ago, before I had a forum account. If it was that interesting that it gathered 1000 pages, it must be the best stuff ever, right?

no. I found not one trace of laughter. Cute, yes. But If I wanted cute, I could stare at kittens trying to get someone to notice them in a shelter.

I don't get it.
You didn't spot the hidden jokes did you?

I understand the fact that they can't take the fact that we dislike their show so they do nothing but "HATERS GONNA HATE LOL DEAL WITH IT, LIKE IT NAO PLZ OR I GET SAD"
I must be missing something because I haven't seen any of that. Although, I have yet to read through all 50+ pages of this thread and all 230+ pages of the MLP thread and I certainly don't plan on doing so.

I love your effort Dropshock but a logical statement tends to go in one ear and out the other for half of the people here.
Yeah. I understand that now. I'm just going to quit trying.

Erh... hidden jokes? What? Give me an example.

Chrono, it's not an obsession. It's being a fan of the show. Posting and making fanart and other things that fans do doesn't make you obsessed.
You don't speak for all of them.

You know, like the ones that:
-Claim to be in love with the characters
-Claim that characters are actually upset with certain posts
-View researchographic images of said characters
-Name themselves after the characters (this is no better than Master Chiefs and Marios)
-Complain and attack me when I tell them I don't want to hear about the above in unrelated topics and/or in-game

Erh... hidden jokes? What? Give me an example.
One of the characters is named Spike, and in one of the later episodes he falls into a punch bowl were another character says "Looks like the punch has been spiked!" Wich is an obvious alchohol refrence children would not get. Later on they also show some sort of food item that also constains alchohol in real life.

You forgot the ones that dress up like their favorite characters and hump plush toys all day.

Okay. I don't really see any humor in that for any age group.

That's pretty dry humor. It's just a bad pun.
Also I don't see how showing an item that has alcohol in it in real life is funny.

Exactly.

Over used joke that hasn't been funny since 1999.

Agreed. I don't understand why this still lives though. Keep stuff in your own topics, and nowhere else, and all is well.
We do. A few people have, but not for a while. If you count topics like this, they don't count because it is related in a way.

Also, Tony. We understand that people don't like the show. But when the people constantly bash on the show, we fight back. The "HATER'S GONNA HATE" stuff is just people being morons, and not giving a valid argument. Anyway, constantly bashing and putting down the fanbase isn't going to get anyone anywhere. Go ahead, keep bashing. I'm just telling you that it's pointless to do so.

You don't have to laugh at it it was more of a "see what we did there?" kind of moment.

You mean, his name is spike, he fell in punch bowl. HUR DUR I SAW DAT I SAW WUT U DID DAR.

You said it was a hidden joke. Jokes are funny. People laugh at jokes. That isn't a joke.

Okay. I don't really see any humor in that for any age group.

That's your point of view which is completely different. So is mine, so is everybody elses.

I know I don't.

When you said obsession, I just thought about liking the show. I will agree with you, and say that is an obsession, and they don't have to (and should) do that everywhere. So, I'll take your side on that.

That joke would had been funny in the 90s but this is 2011.
