Just ignore them if you really feel hurt over their extreme dislike for your interests, I do this all of the time when it happens to me and my interests/tastes.

Building on to this, I also want to state that the more you show your interests/tastes such as MLP, the more opportunity you set yourself up for opposition (Avatars, out of pony topic posts containing it, etc.) and cramming it into dislikers throats (reuploading pony avatars to avoid adblock) only ensures that they will continue to dislike it. Just ask Strovbe about 90% of his comments on my facebook posts on certain things I like that he hates, I take the criticism and hate in easily and we are still friends despite that. Being in a mass group of people who have the same interests do not excuse personal overreaction to the hate and criticism.

It's not that we can't stand it; we just don't want to look at it.
It's like this: you're nine years old, sitting in front of the TV, watching your favorite show (at the time, not MLP you friends,) and your little sister comes into the room, and changes it to her favorite show that you mildly dislike. Do you leave the room or just deal with it until it's over? Even though you'll say that "oh i'd totally deal with it becuz it is mlp!", shut the forget up and get the forget out. Be truthful.
