For the most part it does stay in the thread. However, the idiots who go make a brony clan in "Clan Discussion" or start posting ponies in the real forums areas are acting on their own accord and it is everyones duty to beat them correct them.

You know, the forum hasn't been on a regular routine ever since the first topic was introduced.
The solution is simple: get rid of it, move it somewhere else.

Again, you guys haven't tried that, it's showing a lot of ignorance from you guys. I've made a fair agreement and you guys refuse to take it. It's making the MLP community look even worse, and they already look awful enough as-is all over the internet. That's why not even 4chan would take you guys, and that's pretty bad.

That would be a simple solution but I don't see why just keeping it in 1 off-topic thread is Armageddon. Sure some douche is going to post a pony picture once in a blue moon but again he's acting on his own accord.
