Author Topic: Alright "bronies", listen up. (Day 2)  (Read 200628 times)

I find it interesting how one can continue an argument for so long when their desired outcome is inevitably not going to happen.

It helps when the ponies keep posting here.

We should be discussing fan-made material and episodes, but the nonstop complaining by the antibronies is making it difficult.
How about move to a new forum to make it easier? I'm not saying to do it for the 'anti-bronies'. If you really want peace (lie), then you would just move instead of being a one-forum stubborn forget.

Don't try to retaliate. I have no problem with your topic. I've never said anything bad in/about it.

you can say what you want about ponies
but at least they're not bitcoins

BEST WAY TO DETERMINE A THREAD'S POST QUALITY imo
The reply to views ratio

Low is bad, good is high

For instance, pony mega-thread has a 1:4.16694352 reply to view ratio, while the
minecraft mega-thread has a 1:15.7374746 reply to view ratio, which IMO means the minecraft mega-thread has more actual content to it

fancy numbers courtesy of google calculator
This is pseudo-mathematical BS.

The ratio of reply to view has nothing to do with the quality or content level in a thread. If you thought it over for an extra few seconds, you'd realize that common sense says that these two numbers have no comparable trait.

Saying that, "The fact most people who enter the thread post in it, it can be decided that the posts are lower quality" is wrong. You can't just assume that. Furthermore, quality is a matter of opinion.

The way I see it, the more people who visit the thread on a frequent basis, the better it's content.

I liked the part where Seventh just kept throwing out copy pasted fallacy definitions as if they made any impact towards his opposition.
You're loving handicapped.

Fallacies are things you should never argue by. You act as if me pointing out when Lord Tony uses one is some type of problem. From what I see, your ideal argumentative style is wacking eachother's roosters in eachother's faces until someone is banned or shuts up. In which case you have no basis as to criticize how I handle when someone says something stupid.

That can't be proved. Sorry!

Or they're just literally surfing the forum looking for threads to post in.

ur mad

You really can't read my post that clear, can you?

I'm laughing at how you just rewrote what some .org website tells you word by word, and how your opposition really does not give a flying richard about your examples of fallacies.

+20 respect for Chrono

But,

The reasons I don't want to move:
1. Other communities don't set definite boundaries for what types of images posted (and RPs and fanfics...)
2. I don't want to have to manage even more forum accounts, for I like the on-topic part of this forum.
3. By moving, I'd be giving in to a select number of oversensitive whiners.

That can't be proved. Sorry!
My little pony is good!

LOLJK CANT BE PROVED

ur mad
narp.

My little pony is good!

LOLJK CANT BE PROVED
