Author Topic: YouTube Videos Not Playing - A loving Idiot Needs Your Help!  (Read 3335 times)

This is me being completely stupid and not knowing a fix to this.
YouTube videos are not playing for me. I have the new toolbar at the bottom of the video that only appears when you mouse over it, but it does not appear. I was watching a video and when I played the next in the series, this happened(but with a different video):

It stays like this. All YouTube videos do this for me.

Tell me how to fix this because I'm a loving idiot not knowing a very easy fix.

Is java up to date?

Youtube messing with player looks = not working.

Restart your computer, that worked for me for a bit.

Didn't work.

It should be.

This has nothing to do with anything.

I just had this problem.

Have you tried "https://"? It works for me.

Surely making the website secure wouldn't do stuff.

Anyway, try in a different browser.

You must have a really strict firewall if it blocks Flash apps that aren't from a secure site.

I just disabled my firewall, http still wont work.
I think you need to learn more about security.

Nice man period bro.
There's no other reason why http won't work. Your computer is requesting that the site has a secure certification before it will load the flash app.

Didn't work. Probably just because I did it wrong because I'm a loving idiot.

Try watching YouTube on Google Chrome, if you aren't already.
It's pretty much made for watching YouTube.

The exact same thing was happening to be a little while ago too. I tried restarting my browser a few times, gave up, and then it fixed itself. Maybe it was a problem with youtube.
