Age of Time takes place in a cursed land.  A mountainous land, with many lakes and rivers.  Long ago, a warlock placed a spell on the land that makes it so anyone who enters is not able to leave.  Familiar places and landmarks may be passed or left behind, but they will be doomed to roam the same landscape for eternity, or accept their fate and settle in one of its endless iterations.

The Kingdom of Badaspatu was in turmoil.  The feminist regime had grown strong and was rising up to overthrow the monarchy.  Realizing he could not hope to win if he fought, King Eric called upon the mightiest warlock in the land.  He ordered him to put a great curse on an uninhabited patch of mountains in the east, one that would trap anyone who enters for eternity.  With this, the king seeded a rumor among the feminists, one that a free land existed in the eastern mountains, one where no man would ever need oppress them again.  The feminists set out for this land, and when they got there, discovered they could not leave.  King Eric had tricked them, and they were trapped in a lawless land by themselves.

Over time, an all-female society developed.  The women had built towns, established law, and it wasn't long before a thriving economy emerged.  They had even learned to reproduce by way of magic, in order to keep themselves from perishing.  The land was still wild, however, and without a central government, anarchy reigned.  Criminals roamed free, and many women died at each others' hands.  Law was upheld primarily by way of vigilante justice, through a crude police system.

Port Town was the first established town in this desolate land, and continues to be the only major population center.  Other attempts have been made to settle other areas, but they have all met with disaster.  The largest of these efforts, Starboard Town, has the most clearly visible remains.  Something terrible happened there once, and it has never had a steady population since.

Nah, we all know the official story:
Here's my Official Story

Twas the age of time... when the land was covered by earth... and water roamed the seas.
The sky was a constant struggle between light and dark...

That's all I've got so far.

Meh, mine's better.
Better written? Questionable, but that doesn't matter because it's fanfiction, so it's automatically bad.

It's a better story, simply that.  Badspot's story sucks.

Also questionable, but it's the official one, and it would be nice if you didn't lead people astray with your silly tales of paragraphs and plot.

Whoops did you just bump?

This thread was already at the top when I posted this so I technically didn't bump it.
