Author Topic: Final Space Shuttle Launch: We have liftoff!  (Read 2903 times)

Alright, for those of you who don't know, the current version of our space shuttle is making a final launch today. After that, there will be no more launches for now due to budget cuts. The launch will be at 11:26 AM EST. I'll be watching CNN all morning, so I'll post updates as they happen.

Discuss.

I was about to make a topic on this lol. You can watch the whole prelaunch sequence here at http://www.nasa.gov/externalflash/135_splash/index.html

It may seem a bit boring now because they have just finished boarding the shuttle and are running checklists.

The maintenance workers have finished sealing the orbiter, setting everything up and have folded up the access room to the shuttle. Looks like they're leaving now.

I can go outside and see the rocket.

20 or so minutes left! :D

Really? will it be on in england?
