Well, I'm at my Dad's and I'm tethering my phone's internet.  Speedtest.net won't work because of 'upload file error' or something, but it's download is about 2.7 Mbits.

i had to live with 1 mbps a while ago, you can deal with 2.5

I may be wrong, I just glanced up and saw 2.7 Mbits.  So I'll just put it in terms I'm familiar with.  At home, on my favorite CoD4 server's ping 45, with phone's internet it's like 360.

My Dad's buying wireless internet after he pays off his truck, I'd say a couple more months.

That's stuffty? Spoiled rich boys and  their fast internet. I've been living just fine with a  top download speed at about 500 kb/s
That's late at night when no one in the world but me is using it. Normally during the day it's 256 kb/s. I don't even wana explain the middle of the days on weekends.

In case you didn't know, 1 megabit does not equal one megabyte
It equals 1/8 of a megabyte, or 125 kilobytes
