Haha, How does that even counter my point? I'll just leave it at "it's all a matter of your and my opinion."
Space Invaders is an Arcade Game, that was perfected when it was first released.
There is one objective to it, and that is to shoot the rows of enemies above.
You either move left or right, and you shoot the enemies and try to preserve your bases if possible.
Any remake of the game is either making it slightly more efficient or porting it to another console, or I don't know, removing any bugs?
Sure, it's a re-hash, but it's not the same as re-hashing a game like CoD, which has storylines, multiplayer actions, diverse missions, character progression and dramatic storylines.
You're comparing games that are based on real life events, or can be turned into a Drama piece, with a three-button arcade game, where you simply shoot little sprites that move down the screen.
Re-hashing in this sense is not the same.
You can't really say a game that needs nothing else added to it can be ruined by having remakes, which simply port it to newer consoles.
I do not know how they plan to create a film around this, and still be similar to the base idea of the game.
They shall have to add in so much stuff to make a movie, that there will be little more to it that is derivative of the game, than simply the fact that aliens are invading and someone is shooting them down.
