You can get decent laptops that will run both of those just fine.

HP, Compaq and Acer are the most consistently reliable prebuilt/laptop brands.
If I had to buy a laptop, I'd make it a HP.
But I will never buy a prebuilt desktop. I'll either always build one myself, or buy from Falcon Northwest, who are love.

Don't buy any HP laptops.

I used to have one of those things, but the thing loving broke after one year. I did some research and I found out HP sent out a crap-ton of corrupted mother boards. So my mother board was forgeted and I had to blow out another 1,000 dollars for ANOTHER HP laptop, which also broke after one year.

Second this.
We've had two HP laptops, one of them died after about two years, the other lasted slightly longer but when we got rid of it it couldn't be powered on for more then 10 minutes without crashing. :/
