You can pay over the xbox, or go to your loacal indian store owner (7-11) and buy a xbox live card. They can range from 3 months to a year.
3 months - 25$
12 months - ?
I don't ever buy the 12 months.

you also need a wireless adapter (which run about $50-60) and a router or have an ethernet cord that can reach from your xbox to your modem
