Thats pretty handicapped of DrenDran, I was pretty sure that his mod was just a useless pile of abusive trash. It all sounded likea cool events idea, especially the zooming in.  You could force players to focus on an object or make a telescope or something.

Too bad for you then. If you don't download it you're missing out, and is it really that hard to download something anyway? I actually have to use a similar system with the RvC server system once it's up because of how I use code from Chrono's 2d Music system; If you don't have the add-on, you can't expereince the effects, and thus you're missing out.

Dynamic GUI alteration is something I'll be adding eventually - the current version in v3.5/4 is just the first stage of implementing GUI downloading functionality.

I tend to remove add-ons from RTB if they conflict with or re-implement features that are currently in or going to be in RTB. A few server management/clan management add-ons have been removed as part of that. It's the only reason I bring this up.

I don't mean to hijack this topic with RTB crap - if you guys have any more questions/comments about it please ask them in the right place or pm me.

Why don't you let him use his system until yours is done? There won't be any problems unless he releases the server add-on.

I like Dren, but I don't seem to agree with this add-on. It just doesn't seem right to kick people jjust because they have a mod that the hosts wants. And if it isn't required to runa gamemode or something along those lines, then how is it required?

which doesn't seem that bad to me....it's not that bad of an add-on, and it really doesn't do much, just enhances your gameplay.

Its about being made to have an add-on you don't need, just because the host decided you should. What if everyone in Blockland started doing that?

No its not

You don't need it to join the server. As I said before, servers like DRPG disconnect you because without the mod you can't play properly. A few crumby enhancements and some GUI thing that doesn't even exist yet aren't appealing.

If you haven't been to the server, don't try to brush off the 'enhancements' you have not yet seen.
This mod uses the client mod, and won't let people without it connect, just like those other mods I mentioned.
