Author Topic: Version 20?  (Read 17153 times)

Lock this, every time Badspot sees a topic like this, he adds a week to the release date.

I doubt this is true.

But I will laugh when v20 is just a measly update.

The most probable situations:

-Badspot has decided to not update Blockland further, as it is as good as it will get
-Badspot is making a massive update, perhaps adding voice chat or changing the platform or something
-Badspot is working on a different game or has decided to switch careers
-Badspot is out of money
-Some combination of all of the above
There's not going to loving be voice chat.

Maybe Badspot is dead :-0

lol

Definately not because he logs on the forums everyday.

I wish saying things like this was a bannable offense.

It will most likley just be bugfixes. I can't actually think of anything to add on to the game, besides lighting.
Again and again, people forget about the great importance of content uploading, which is coming in v20.

Content uploading? Does that mean we can upload mods to the cloud server?

Content uploading? Does that mean we can upload mods to the cloud server?
It means content (.dts, .wav, .png, etc) will be automatically uploaded to the cloud server, which means people will go through downloading much faster, and it'll be less stress on the server's bandwidth.

- Voice chat (Admins can mute people)

If you can cliently turn it off.

No auto-updater for me

Happens occasionally, the game automatically checks for updates each time, and if your connection is slower, it tries to connect to the server for updates, and keeps looking for them until they are found/not found. I think, lol.

Were you on a server when it happened?

Well, just to warn you, Blockland Retail has had doUpdates since it came out. I won't list the specifics, but I asked Badspot if he could disable it to prevent abuse. He said something along the lines of it being useful, and it makes sense. If you start updating while in a server, it might not be real.

But Blockland always pops up Auto-Updater when opening, to check for updates.

He said he wasn't in a server.

It checks for updates during authentication, and does not pop up the updates GUI, unless there's some kind of unknown factor I don't know about.
