The idea is that the show was created so older audiences can enjoy it.

The producer clearly said, it was for parents with children, so the parents didn't have to be bored out of their brains while their kids hogged the TV. No parent religiously records and watches the show, drawing fan art and posting about it in online groups. Where as you and other bronies do, when you are teenage males who don't have children. ERROR.

How does this relate to My Little Pony?

Lauren made the show for "Comedy" or "Learning" for kids, Apparently she made inside jokes and I guess a male audience got caught up with it and soon male audiences heard about the show and others did too, I guess that's how it became popular with male audiences

There has been THREE or more anti-pony threads.
