Author Topic: Seizures (Do You Guys know Anything about Seizures?)  (Read 1867 times)

Dilantin is a common drug used to prevent seizures in epileptics.

Are you sure your mom isn't epileptic?

also, your chance of getting a seizure stops if you suddenly stop taking the medicine, so maybe that's why?
I know what Dilantin is.
My mom is not epileptic but as I said she suffers convulsions during withdrawal from Oxycontin; they prescribed it because it's an anti-convulsant.
And yes I know this but she didn't stop taking the medicine. From what I've read it's possible she has a genetic defect where she can't metabolize the medicine in her liver, which would cause her levels to display as if she's not taking it. So far I've gotten farther on my own than relying on this thread. Maybe the Blockland community wasn't the best community to ask.

Watched a man seizing in the street on Saturday, I believe it was diabetes related.

Yeah I'm pretty sure diabetes (lack of medication) can cause that.

Oh, and people were helping him, I wasn't just casually watching a man have a fit on the floor.

Isn't a seizure when your skin turns green and you want to eat people?
