it was the marketing strategy of mac back in the 80s
they needed to twist the minds of the consumers, make them think the world was changing and they reinvented the computer or something.

personal computer was obviously a term that defined any computers in a household, as was revolutionary.
well mac didnt want to be put in the same boat. apple needed you to think they were above that "old" industry of that time.

well obviously it wasnt always mac/pc, then it was apple/pc. same thing

make them think the world was changing

That 1984 commercial they made definitly helped :l

it was the marketing strategy

Well yeah thats the company not the consumers themselves, I mean go watch Tv practically ever commercial your watching is trying to twist your mind. I've realized that it's useless to argue over trivial things like this.  :cookieMonster:

Basicly macs are for important work and windows are for important work, normal work and fun.

Which is funny because Apple claims macs have more capabilities than windows.

anything you can do on windows i can do on mac, only more shiny.

They do.

Does anyone know where that picture is comparing Windows to Mac with prices and stuff is?

lol people who think macs are used professionally in offices are fools.
granted management can get anything they want, its got nothing to do with whats "better" for the job, but the taste of the person who buys it for the office.

i got my masters; IT. not once had i even SEEN an apple product at the 2 diff schools i went through. and the online students wernt even allowed to use macs, as was counter effective in the education of computer science lol.

Launch GTA IV for me. Run it with playable FPS on max detail.

Macs can run Windows, which automatically gives Macintosh more capabilities.

Windows can run Mac, Linux, Ubuntu, all at the same time.
Virtual machines.

Just gotta remember that running 2 OS's makes a computer perform slower, so if you wanted to game, you'd have to do it while lagging anyway.

No, it automatically makes your Macintosh useful.

Hell, if you're just going to install Windows on it, just buy a loving cheaper computer NOT made by apple with even BETTER hardware for the same price.
