Not THIS boot!

THIS boot!

So yeah, I got my cast sawed off and got a super awesome boot instead. 6 days from now I will be able to walk!

7 weeks from now I get the boot taken off!

If you don't remember, I got surgery done on a birth defect I had in my right ankle, I got a piece of floating bone pinned to my ankle and my cartilage is growing back around it as we speak. First I had a cast for 5 weeks, now I have a boot. Crutch-walking is not fun.

So yeah, discuss.

Thank you for tuning into Jacob/Lee's Medical History, Part 3: Defects & Surgery!

EDIT: That boot in the picture is the exact model I have, and I have also been called RoboCop twice.

oh stuff thats for a birth defect? that sucks :(

That's cool. I've seen some people wear those and they walk pretty fine. Glad you'll be able to walk soon :D

I actually had to wear one when I broke my foot jumping off a trampoline when I was 8 or 9. It was awesome, you could take it off and let your foot air out, and all you had to do to put it back on was strap your foot in and pump up these little air pocket things.

Crutches are loving awesome once you get used to them. I learned to balance with them when my foot was still healing :o

Am I the only one who is reminded by Portal looking at the boot?
Oh, okay then.

Lol; had both my legs in plaster for 6 weeks once.
DO NOT TRY TO STAND UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY SAW THEM OFF.
YOU WILL FALL.
IT WILL HURT.

LUCKY! i wanted to that boot! i always wanted a cast. :D

so you WANT to be in serious pain and not be able to use the casted limb for weeks?

The boots you get look much like the longfall boots, yes. ;)
