While I personally think what happened to that boy is terrible, I also think their would be less crime if harsher punishments did exist. I'm not saying burning them alive is the way to go, that's awful, but I feel punishments that involve physical harm or humiliation to the guilty would be a stronger deterant to committing the crimes.
