Author Topic: EA is loving stupid.  (Read 6270 times)

When was EA ever smart?
All they're good for is making Sports games.
The Sim series (SimCity,The Sims, etc.) and a few other games.

Nope, I don't play PC games so this is no issue to me.
okay, so everyone but Tony.

He's too hip for PC games, lol.

I guess he'd rather be alone with his console "super kawaii" exclusives.

But the golden age of the Sims games were before EA started making them, they were just publishing them for Maxis.

I guess you rather complain for poor hosting services because PC doesn't have that many great choices. Not to mention the stuff ton of video game hackers making the game extremely unfair.

There will always be hackers so long as the game developer doesn't close gaps up in their game or doesn't use sufficient protection.  For example, Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the PC uses PunkBuster and Steamworks games ward off hackers with the VAC system.

Except with a PS3 you can also pretty much install cracked firmware, making it easier to get said hacks.

That is until someone catches on. The ending result could lead to your account or PS3 banned.

I don't know about you but I'm not spending another 300 dollars on a PS3 just to cheat on online video games.

There will always be loopholes in Sony's products.

Sony and custom firmware developers have been fighting each other for long.  Sony rolls out a security update, they crack it.  They roll out a firmware patch, they crack it.

Until Sony starts putting some serious hardware-based anti-CFW into their products they're pretty much forgeted, and I'm sure they're already doing this for the next PSP.

actually i've been playing Halo 2 for Vista on Windows LIVE and the only thing there is custom maps and server hosts swapping the plasma pistol projectile for the banshee bombs.
haven't seen a single hacker yet.

hell i've actually been getting into H2's map editor.

the console version though, hackers would forget over matchmaking games for stuffs and giggles and epeen

i dont get hackers.
why cheat and forget over matches when you can actually try and get skill, then go cry in a corner when a better player kills you.

Sony starts banning consoles, the console becomes a brick.

Oh and soon online games will require online passes so unless hackers want to waste 10 dollars each time they get banned for hacking then that's their loss.

GFWL is a relatively tough DRM to go around for cheating and for piracy.

Except what about the hackers still using older firmware?

Online passes sounds as bad as "constant internet connection" for PC games.

The only good game(s) I bought from ea were the sims 3 and Need for speed carbon

They probably haven't done much for someone over at Sony to pick it up.

It's actually much more simple than it sounds. Buy a new game, get a free one time online pass. Put in the pass code and you can play online.

If you bought a used game or got banned and made a new account then you need to buy a new passcode for 10 dollars.

If you bought a used game or got banned and made a new account then you need to buy a new passcode for 10 dollars.
Thus effectly killing "used games" probably.

And you have to enter a god damn serial every time you buy a new game.

You do realize it's going to suck?

Half Life 1 sucked.

Half Life 2 was the best

Half Life 2 Episode one wasn't that great, neither was episode 2.

God why do you Half Life nerds think Episode 3 will be awesome stuff, it will crash and burn like Duke Nukem Forever.

I have yet to see Valve "Crash and burn" on anything, and Episode 2 was the best one. (in my opinion)

Episode 3 probably isn't even coming out lol..
