Right now, I am actually wondering if there are legal issues with requesting money in exchange for goods on a free forum about a game that you only need one payment for.

You should submit a beta tester application.

I don't really have an application organized, but do your best.

    - BL_ID
 - How much you play BL
    - What Times (do you live in china and usualy play BL when its 3am for me?)
 - How much you know about scripting/modeling
 - Qualifications/Previous work

Don't just do a short "I would (not) kill him because I couldn't kill a person/don't want to die" answer.  Explain your reasoning as best you can.

Anyone is welcome to apply, the more the merrier.  There is no limit on current open beta slots, although I will probably raise my standards as my beta tester list gets longer, so apply early!
