You, among others have called this an unfair advantage.  If you want to claim that an unfair advantage does not fall under the category "advantage" then I guess that's your choice.
nexus out of all the scripters i saw on the blockland forums you are tottaly the #1

What the hell is wrong with you?

You should have noticed that you can't get positions directly.
It means don't try to go around it.

@Nexus
So what IS the point of this add-on? It had better be something really great, because this sure has a lot of downsides.
If you previous post, you said that "torque is not great for stealth". Well that's total bullstuff. You also mention that most of Blockland isn't DMing. Here's the thing: Blockland is a game that allows it's players to create their own games. Be it DMs, Hide-and-Seek, or a slew of other games that depend on players not knowing the exact position of their enemies. You can't just push aside the fact that this ruins DMs and a variety of other gamemodes. Blockland is before eveything a sandbox game, and you are limiting our capability to do whatever we please. Why? Because if you do have a justification for this - other than trying to bloat your ego on the appreciation you get from idiots and noobs - it had better be worth it.

By the way, I'd really like it if you responded appropriately to my questions and arguments. Your previous post simply declared my argument invalid without supplying reasons. If you have a justification, spit it out instead of trying to randomly discredit what I'm saying.

Glad we're on the same page. I also hope Badspot will find a patch for this. I've also reported the OP for distributing Add-Ons that are abusive; you should do the same.

Agree 100%

This add on is fine as long as:
  • There is a server sided add on to block it
or
  • It's just a private add on Nexus has that he shares with a few others that he completely trusts will NOT leak the add on

What I don't understand is that Nexus claims it can be used to counter aimbots, but I haven't seen a single player using one and not everyone is going to have an aimbot and this mod so in the end it's still unfair.

No, this won't even work.

People will just remove the code to block it then redistribute it.

I feel bad for introducing this new position getting method into blockland.

Then it looks like the other option
  • It's just a private add on Nexus has that he shares with a few others that he completely trusts will NOT leak the add on

Yeah right, fat chance.
It will eventually leak.

All the same, I prefer that just a few people manage to get it than everyone. At least that way I can just ban anyone who seems to be using it.

I agree with everything cucumberdude has said.

Just a suggestion:

What if players only showed up on the radar while they are moving and if they are standing still they would disappear from it.

Just a suggestion:

Don't make this at all so everyone is happy.

Agreed, this is the best possible outcome.

It is a good idea.
Unless there would be a server-sided block.
