I often feel more encouraged to build without RTB Add-ons...

There's this strange feeling I get. At servers like Badspot's Block Party, where there are no RTB add-ons, I often feel more encouraged to build. It's probably because of all the choice of bricks, sounds, weapons and vehicles I keep finding on other servers, and I'm not really into situations where there is a lot of choice. Anyone else get this strange feeling?

No, I just don't download weapons and I get encouraged to build.
Also listening to certain music helps you build in some cases.

Personally, I do not.

I enjoy building with Add-Ons.
I like to use and experiment with new brick types whenever I can.

But, that said, I don't like joining a server with every random brick pack going, and has loads of unnecesarry Add-Ons.
It's for this reason that I like theme servers.
Because they give me a chance to try new styles, and I can incorporate Add-On bricks into them, and they tend not to (atleast the good ones, that is) have lots and lots of unnecesarry add-ons.

Well, if I only used the term "add-ons", I would also be talking about the default add-ons, wouldn't I? Besides, I get almost all of my add-ons on RTB.

i only like using packs that add new brick types(wedges). adding 1x5 flats, 1x20 poles, and 8x4 baseplate cubes is stupid. though i do use extended 3x height bricks a lot

I agree with this guy. I always prefer absolutely new kinds of bricks instead of just bricks that can easily be made by smaller bricks.

Well, if I only used the term "add-ons", I would also be talking about the default add-ons, wouldn't I? Besides, I get almost all of my add-ons on RTB.

I always consider Add-Ons as anything non-default.
Simply because they "Add on" to my default Blockland.
I refer to the default Add-Ons as simply the default tools/vehicles/maps/decals.

I would have to agree with this.
I like building those unusual sized bricks out of smaller bricks.
Because they can often give me times to fit in interesting patterns, which add a nice sense of design to what I am building.

I like add-ons that help me build, because I host freebuilds. So new interesting bricks and useful events are a must. The only reason I Teir Tactical at my server is to keep people entertained.

I hate building with brick addons. I use very few.

Brick addons give me a strange feeling that my build is incompatible with the rest of BL, which just makes it feel... unofficial or fake. Brick addons are just fancy models to make building easier, real builders don't need fancy rounded corners and other crap.

People do use fancy bricks to mask their crap building. Overusing special shapes and JVS content because they suck lol.

I use custom bricks to reduce brickcount and make things look fancy.
Also using custom bricks can create intricate designs and shapes defaults could never do/be extremely impratical and take a long time to do, and not everyone sucks at building you know so fancy bricks can be used right.
