Okay, here's the thing. I had built a detailed set of 4 islands (About 2 hours work) and it had been fine for a few days. I come back the next day and I can't seem to find it. Gentoo had no idea. It may be deleted though, most likely by David. I had a dispute with him a week ago when he took sides with an idiot (See previous threads to learn more). It was most likely him. I had a look around and noticed several people had stolen the colour I had been using, crimson. I'm going to hazard a guess they asked David to delete my stuff so they can nick the colour I had taken.
No pictures due to me not having anyway to take a picture without it coming with a black screen. Go to the server and see for yourself. I shall be there rebuilding.

Might be good to check to see if there was a saving fail... although 2 hours going by makes that seem unlikely. Did you see if anyone else lost their work? Because if not, I think you've been attacked. :c

lesson learned: always save your stuff when you're complete with it or even in progress in case something like this happens.

YES very good advice here. I rarely build on servers because admins often delete / abuse / claim / forget to save / abandon the project 5 seconds later.

But if I do contribute, I also make a backup; I have actually loaded my save many a time when an issue like the OP's situation has occurred.

I've been to that server. It's horibble. i get banned for me making one joke about the admins ship but the admins make fun of my diabetes all they want.

its a very good server, but the problem is they have VERY sketch admins and kalphiter likes to change the map without saving

Sounds like they just forgot to save and your build was removed in the process of re-loading.
And I don't think anyone deleted your build so they could have your color...crimson is pretty generic. One of the admins color is crimson.

Admin raises the issue of him being attacked. He did say he though an admin deleted his build.

Gentoo is a good friend of mine - he wouldn't delete stuff at random. I don't know this "David" fellow, but Gentoo does have a tendency to give SA to completely random people and then defends their actions to the death. I'd pop into his server every so often to find out that he has another truckload of new admins I've never even heard of before.

I got into a huge argument with a couple of Gentoo's admins once because they were being starfishs. He defended them and even told me to get out until I removed him from my steam friends, at which point he closed the server. The people you see on Gentoo's aren't really to be trusted.
