Yeah, looks cool and all, movable limbs help but still:
Incoming lawsuit.
They probably won't get a lawsuit, on account of them being different to Lego.
Lego has a patented design which was originally created by them.
If I'm correct, the reason MegaBlocks is still in business and not in constant legal battles with Lego, is because MegaBlocks uses a similar design to Lego blocks, but the differences in them mean that they are not a breach of patent.
Kre-o likely works by taking advantage of this same aspect.
But, atleast Megablocks will fit with Lego pieces, so, it's not too bad.
I don't like how they are already jumping on board with commercial sets. I figured they would start off like 90s lego at first. Well maybe if these sets get popular they will start doing normal town sets.
Unfortunately that's what sells now.
Everything has to be commercialised, and people are going to buy these things if they relate to another product.
Transformers is a succesful product that is already owned by Hasbro, so, it's an ideal place for them to start.
And Transformers, if adopted by Megablocks or Lego could've been a big success for them, due to Lego's and Megablocks' ability to make good designs with movable pieces, or using Technic blocks.
Hasbro will make good money with Transformers sets.
