Author Topic: Kre-o is totally not lego.  (Read 6804 times)

the best part of legos was and always will be making your own things from scratch.

Yeah I don't think Lego sells buckets of bricks only anymore.

And having pieces that are specialized to one specific set is just making it worse.
But recently lego has been going down this path too.

(Which would likely not be possible with Star Wars Lego existing)
I hear lego's Star Wars license is about to expire or something. Then again the last time I heard that was 2008.

But recently lego has been going down this path too.

It pissed me off when all the cool lego pieces were only for those stuffty girl lego sets.

All I wanted was the food pieces, the cat, the different colored gems but I didn't want to buy a stuffty girl set.

Are those Brickarms-y weapons i see on the minifigs?

I miss that ):

The hats probably fit on actual Lego people.
Someone buy a set and see if the pieces fit together.

Ive tried..The hats got stuck on the heads and it is almost impossible to get it off and also the bricks cant actually stay together.. But knex bricks can stay together with Legos!

Yeah, nothing can beat legos, but I want Kre-os now.

Do kre-o bricks stay together with themselves or was it with lego you were talking about?

Building with Legos in my childhood was exactly like building on Blockland - just one big bucket and your imagination (insert Spongebob here).

Kre-o is legos only sold in specialized packs. Build-a-Transformer!

It's short for Kreation.

I'm hoping they stay true to their word and make original sets - I really do miss LEGO's bucket of bricks, cool little townhouses and corner-street restaurants... Now it's all just... When I just went to the LEGO e-store just a few minutes ago, here's ALL that was under "Recommended For You":

Cars 2 - Tokyo International Circuit
Harry Potter - Hogwarts
Star Wars - Imperial Shuttle
Cars 2 - Finn's Spy Base
Harry Potter - Forbidden Forest
Star Wars - Republic Dropship
Cars 2 - Grand Prix
Harry Potter - Chamber of Secrets
Star Wars - AT-OT Walker

And on the fricking title banner of the website:
"Educational Toys".

I'm sad.

See lego is nothing but a greedy corporate sell out.

At least, they are now.
